Miles Davis & Robert Glasper - 'Everything is Beautiful' (2016)



The album blends a diverse group of master takes and outtakes from across Miles' incredible tenure with Columbia Records (1955-1985) with original reinterpretations of songs by Davis. From the obvious (riffs and passages within the catalog) to the obscure (samples of Miles' in-studio instructions spoken after false starts), Glasper has built something unique but still unquestionably Miles. He has invited Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Ledisi, Bilal, Laura Mvula, Hiatus Kaiyote & John Scofield among others to participate in this unique project, coming out May 27, 2016.. More...

Manuel Volpe & Rhabdomantic Orchestra - 'Albore' (2016)



"Albore" is a record about an initiation, a spiritual journey that drives the listener into an hypnotic and evocative world made of Yoruba polyrhythms, Middle Eastern impressions, spiritual Jazz drifts, Ethiopian groove vibes and Afrobeat-like brass sections. It is a mix of different sonic landscapes where the instruments of Volpe's Orchestra weave a texture of voices into a sort of magical realism. Gregory Porter - ‘Take Me To The Alley‘ (2016)

Gregory Porter has announced his new album ‘Take Me To The Alley‘ will be released on May 6th 2016.
The album features a reworked version of ‘Holding On’, the track Gregory co-wrote with electronic act Disclosure, as well as autobiographical songs including ‘Don’t Lose Your Steam’ and title track ‘Take Me To The Alley’, both written with his family in mind. Read more...
